i am a 25 yr old female. i have been drinking vodka for at least 10 years on a day to day basis... i used to drink as much as a liter a day by myself... and if i didnt take a few shots every couple hours, i would lay comotose when trying to sleep. shaking, fever, and very very lucid dreams... i tried to quit by drinking wine, but it didnt give me the same effect. Now i only drink a pint. but sstill i do this every day. I try to quit. but i know that cold turkey is not a good method. each morning i feel withdrawl when i awake, and until i drink i have chest pains every breath i take. i am weak and can bearly walk for more than a block. when i try to cut down, i only end up wanting more and get very aggitated if i cannot find a way to do this. i cannot work, but am not on any disability.. i do not have any medical insurance, but i feel like i am withering away. my husband tries to support me, but if he tells me i shouldnt drink, i get moody and we fight, and then i need it even more because of my anger. my entire life i have suffered from depression and anxiety, also ptsd. i know this is making it worse.. but i cannot eat or sleep without drinking.. do you have any suggestions on how i can do this better.. and is it any healthier for me to switch vodka for wine? thanks..

At age 52, I began drinking alcoholicly for 5 years but I "drove my bus" my whole life. In AA I've learned to accept a power inside me great enough to hand the wheel over to. Today, I'm 59 and know a life I'd never imagined... I am not religious.

sober livings are very afordible. also see your state fro child care services . maybe leaving your child with another family member till she gets better or even day care. You can get state funded or sliding scale. Even a neighbor can watch the child. Much too dangerous for the child. Preschool is a great option too. Joan Matthews Larsen -Minnesota - vitamin therapy to regrow the damage of alcohol at health recovery center. Dr amen brain scan and Church ! 1800 new hope can help! AA and Alanon sponsors would be great help too!
